Aerobats rules unique purpose is to offer a quiet server for pilots who want to train aerobatics and especially formation flying.
* Fight and ammo are NOT allowed , always select empty weapons:
Well , Aerobats is made for everything but war. So even carrying ammo can't be allowed: if you take a bomber from blue base , and someone starts from gold base , your gunners will shoot at him!
actually , its easy, just ALWAYS select "EMPTY"
* On the main base (blue): Respect the runway in use .Don't use taxiways or grass for take off
To avoid mess , collision and make the server realistic , the main base is used just like a non controlled airdrome in real life. So we need a "runway in use".
On every maps, there is one blue base. On this base, you will always find a "T" on the ground, near the control tower, it's made to know the runway in use. Take off and landings are to be done the way to read the T up. (the side of the horizontal bar of the T).
* Before entering the runway , check for any landing aircraft
You can imagine whats going to happen if you line up while there is an aircraft "on final". And HE has priority. So YOU have to check nobody is arriving to land BEFORE you enter the runway. If a plane is landing, hold short at the holding point then line up behind. You will be able to take off when he has vacated the runway.
last tip : you may take off from the half part of the runway if it's enought for you, but it can't allow you to line up in front of an aircraft already lined up before you !
* After landing, don't stay on the runway,vacate it
Same reason: everyone uses the runway , for take off or landings. So if you enter it to take off, it means you are going to take off quickly and not stay for minutes in the middle ! And for landing , vacate it once your speed is down.
* If you are about to crash , bail out and hit refly immediately or try to do it in water
In close formation , more than anywhere else , we must avoid lags. Smokes on ground create lags , are ugly and unrealistic.
So be safe , don't try more than you are able.
And for those who want to change quickly aircraft or are about to crash, aim in the water to crash, or bail out then (when you click on "refly", your aircraft will disappear instead of crashing !)
* If you want to join a formation, ask the leader ,and do it SAFELY
- why ask the leader ? because maybe he is doing a special thing (pictures, teaching etc) and maybe he doesn't want anybody in his wing. Most of the time , leader is on TS with the winguys he wants to have in his wing.
So before you join and grab your position , ask if you can join to be sure its ok , and also to know where you can go.
If the leader is using voice, come on the same TS where he is, even if you don't have any mike, so you can listen to orders.
- Do it safely ? Example : You see 6 aircrafts in formation , very nice , you want to join , leader said ok ... If you arrive like a bullet and crash into them .... i think that they will kill you fouet
* Abusive crashes , collisions or bad behaviour may result in a kick
If obviously , you don't act in order to be safe with others , and that its not simple accident , admin will take care of you.
